Two blocks from our hotel is the historic Empire Theater, which once featured burlesque and live theater, and is now known as the AMC Empire 25. The theater opened in 1912 and you will still find remnants of the original architecture. Stop to admire the façade by Thomas Lamb, and walk through the atrium to see the original ceiling murals. At the top of the escalators, you can also glimpse the theater's old box seats.
